Price Changes

Thank you for supporting Rumbletums. We want to give you some information about price changes in the café.

As you can imagine, we have had to deal with the costs of food inflation, and a small price increase to cope with this was inevitable. However, we recently learned that we are now required to pay VAT on our café income. In the light of this we obviously have no choice about increasing our prices to be able to pay the VAT.

However, we don’t plan to simply put 20% on every price across our menu. We know that for some food items our prices are extremely low compared to other outlets – in fact you, our customers, often say that to us! So, we intend to look at these areas and restructure our prices, while at the same time making sure they remain competitive and affordable.

We will still offer a good range of affordable food and drinks - including vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with no supplementary charge for these.

Most importantly, our food will still be made here on the premises, using good quality ingredients which are locally sourced whenever possible.

Obviously the Café is fundamental to our training provision. We are very proud of everything we have been able to achieve, along with our young people, over the last nearly 14 years. We couldn’t have done any of this without your backing and encouragement.

We hope you understand why these increases in prices are necessary and that we will be able to count on your continued support.
